Co-Curricular Activities play a key role in students’ holistic development. To keep students active and energetic, we conduct CCA competitions encompassing various activities at regular intervals. The competitions help students build team spirit, social emotional competencies and skills to prepare them for future challenges. CCA allows students to explore their strengths and talents outside the academic arena.
It’s a psychotherapeutic framework that works with the mind-body connection to use personal movement language and dance for the health and wellness of an individual’s physical, emotional, cognitive, social and behavioral aspects. This therapy helps a toddler to find an authentic movement language to express themselves.
Value education is the process that gives young people an initiation into the knowledge of the rules needed to function. Personal values like excellence, honesty, self-confidence and punctuality, Social values like friendship, hospitality, patience and tolerance, Spiritual values like purity and devotion to God, Universal values like brotherhood, compassion, truth, and eternity and Cultural values like language, ethics and aesthetics are inculcated in students through Moral Instruction classes.
Physical education ensures the good health of a student. Physical Education forms a part of the curriculum and it includes skills development and physical fitness. The athletics and various other physical activities improve the overall psycho-motor skills and agility of the students. It teaches children key life skills alongside improving their health and wellbeing.
Roller-skating is a great way to keep students active, learn new skills, and have fun. Skating helps to burn off extra energy, build strong muscles, and maintain a healthy weight. Roller Skating will be introduced to students as part of the curriculum.
Martial Arts is considered as the best form of self-defense technique and is often practiced as a sport. Silambam is an ancient weapon-based martial art and it is not just a physical activity, it is a form of meditation. It will enable students to tend to be more focused and also improve their memory power.
The seamless integration of mind and body, heart and soul, is the base for all superficial accomplishments. Such feats become possible only with a disciplined life-style. The combination of physical, mental and spiritual disciplines, which aim to transform the body and the mind, is yoga. Students have regular yoga classes in their schedule that help them in exercising control over both the body and the mind.
