Sunshine SSM, in its 36 glorious years of existence, has grown to provide a learning environment that facilitates the broadening of the intellect and grooming of the personality. The school was inaugurated on 11 June 1986. It is a co-educational school, with classes from preschool to 12th, and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. Montessori system of education is followed for the children in the age group of 2 ½ to 7 ½ years (Pre-KG to class II level). The children then continue in the regular stream of education.
“A good teacher can awaken joy in their students and leave a positive impression that lasts a lifetime.” In Sunshine SSM we have highly qualified, trained and experienced faculties who are capable in bringing out the uniqueness in each child.
The school is managed by Rays Educational Trust, a public charitable trust, established in 2007 with an object of establishing, maintaining, managing and developing educational institutions for providing quality education to the students. Rays is motivated by passion to be a leader in education.

Field trip to Dakshinachitra Heritage Museum for Class III students on 09-11-2022
Our son R.Srihari of Class III "B" Sunshine SSM Senior Secondary School, Chromepet-Admission No: 10870 participated in the field trip to Dakshinachitra Heritage Museum organized for Class III students on 09-11-2022
We would like to place on record our appreciation to the school management for organizing a field trip inspite of the weather playing the odds.
From what we understood from our son, the field trip was very well organized.
Our sincere appreciation to the management, teaching and non-teaching staff for their care and attention to the safety of students outside the school during the field trip.
Our special thanks to Class III-B teacher Mrs N Indra Kumari for the special care and attention to her class students throughout the field trip (based on what we learnt from our son)
We look forward to more such local field trips for practical learning outside the walls of the school.
I am mother of KR Sanjiv studying JM3 D. Today Supriya aunty and Neeranjana aunty showed four experiments in the event of national science day. All were so interesting and informative. The way teachers demonstrated is mind blowing. My son enjoyed watching them and would like to try them too. Thanks a lot for this initiative. I would like to thank both the teachers as they always try to share good values as and when possible: avoiding colored foods, obeying elders, eating healthy food, practicing reading/writing everyday. As you know, kids generally listen and follow to aunties' instructions at this age.
